Retouching
In most cases, retouching should be almost undetectable. It should not draw attention to itself but instead simply make you look your best. Each image requires it’s own unique set of adjustments; literally hundreds of small incremental adjustments to gradually create the desired effect. Most images will require about 20-30 minutes worth of time while others might take a few hours.
Simple retouching – Usually takes about 1/2 hour per photo
- Remove blemishes
- Brighten eyes
- Smooth out skin
- Color correct and contrast
- Prepare for printing
Extensive Retouching – One hour or more
- Reconstruct areas of the face or eyes (in this case it was a bee sting)
